Meizu M3s Review

The Meizu m3s has just been made official - a minor upgrade over the existing m3.
Much like the m3, the new model sports a 5-inch 720p display with 2.5D glass. The company claims a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 380 nits of brightness.

Computing power comes courtesy of a Mediatek MT6750 chipset (same as on the m3), its octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU in a 4x1.5Gz + 4x1.0GHz configuration. The GPU is is a Mali-T860 unit. There are two RAM/storage combinations, the base one being 2GB/16GB, while the higher-specced one comes with twice the storage and 3GB of RAM. A microSD slot provides an option for expansion.
The camera setup is not unlike the vanilla m3's, either - a 13MP primary shooter with an f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus. On the front a 5MP f2.0 snapper takes care of selfies.
The Meizu m3s' metal body measures 141.9 x 69.9 x 8.3mm (fractions of a millimeter larger than the m3) and weighs 138g. The 6 grams on top of the m3 are probably accounted for by the 3,020mAh battery - 150mAh more.

The m3s comes with full Netcom support, which means it can work on all Chinese networks. Connectivity includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS. The phone boots Android 5.1 out of the box, with a Flyme OS layer on top.
The base model is priced at CNY 699 in China ($106), while the 32GB version is CNY 899 ($136). Don't expect to be able to get it at those figures when and if it makes it outside of China, though.

One Plus Review

One Plus is going to announce the One Plus 3 tomorrow, but the next "flagship killer" has been in the rumor lands for months. It's not that we have a lot of things left to learn, but we always appreciate a good leak ahead of launch.

Today we got two detailed live pictures for you to enjoy. They confirm the 2.5D front glass and the leaked back from previous leaks.

The front key should be doubling as a fingerprint scanner.

Lots of previous reports suggest the One Plus 3 will feature a 5.5" 1080p display and run on the Snapdragon 820 chip with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. You will be able to choose between 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of internal storage.

The rest of the known specs include a 16MP main camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, a 3,450 mAh battery and Android Marshmallow. The first 1,000 units were sold in China for about $460, but the exact retail price is yet to be announced.
